"Tales4Tails" was founded in 2009 and is comprised of children's book author Denise Carey-Costa, artists Nicole Sjostrom, and Jonathan Iseminger. The group is located in Orlando, Florida and their main goal is promoting compassion through reading.
Their most recent book “A Tale of Three Tails” is available through www.Trafford.com, www.Amazon.com, www.Target.com, www.barnesandnoble.com, as well as various other online retailers in Canada, Europe and the U.K. Coming soon from Trafford Publishing are "Edwin's Flight" and "Lucky".
Denise, Nicole, and Jonathan travel to various schools, libraries, and animal rescue groups using their books as a tool for humane education by promoting pet adoption, encouraging responsible pet ownership, and how to recognize and report animal cruelty.
“Tales4Tails” also works in conjunction with animal rescue groups and humane societies by using the book as a fundraising tool for any current needs or projects.
Personal apperances to date include the Paul Road School in Chilli, New York, the Orange County Pet Expo, National Homeless Animals Day candlelight vigil, Central Florida Veg Fest and fundraising for the Animal Welfare Alliance of Central Florida's spay/neuter clinic at the Borders in Oviedo, Florida. They were also featured in the ASPCA’s weekly newsletter in May of 2009 in the “How I Fought Cruelty” segment
